You may remember Ashley & Wilsey from their gorgeous Engagement Shoot at Petersham Nurseries. We had such a lovely time – strolling around in the sunshine, taking photos - and this was exactly what their wedding felt like (with the exception that they were both dressed up)! Ashley & Wilsey had very wisely decided to have a very informal, relaxed wedding day at the Wilsey family farm: Windmill Farm in Wiltshire. With a marquees overlooking the beautiful countryside (and a few inquisitive Alpacas), drinks & canapes served overlooking the ponds at the back of the farm and the speeches in the side garden – this was pretty much an all outdoor wedding, and we had perfect blue sky weather for it! This was also the second wedding I shot this Summer where they had the speeches in the garden and I loved it! Very informal, intimate and perfect from a photography point of view.
Rewind back to the start of the day! Ashley got ready at The Beckford Arms in Tisbury and we joined her and a few of her friends to get a few snaps of them relaxing with a coffee and getting ready. With Ashley’s family & bridesmaids from the US, it was great to listen to the excited ‘morning of the wedding chatter’ in American accents – love it! Ashley’s gorgeous dress was from Monique Lhuillier and suited her perfectly. She had a gorgeous veil and a stunning tiara (which has been in Wilsey’s family for many years) to round off her look and she couldn’t have looked more beautiful! The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s in East Knoyle – a picturesque little church hidden away in the countryside. Lavendar had been strewn in the church entrance and the smell was heavenly. The service was beautiful and Ashley & Wilsey couldn’t look any happier as they walked back down the aisle as Mr & Mrs Wilsey!
