Teresa & David’s winter wedding at Great Fosters, Surrey.

Teresa & David’s winter wedding the week before Christmas, was my last wedding for 2011 and what a wedding it was! They had their ceremony & reception at Great Fosters in Egham, Surrey. For those of you not familiar with Great Fosters, it was built in 1550 as a royal hunting lodge and has become one of the prime wedding venues in the UK, boasting picturesque landscaped gardens and beautiful interiors. With a rustic Tithe barn, Orangery & Conservatory and the hotel itself, we were spoilt for choice when it came to Teresa & David’s couple photos. The 19th of December turned out to be a bit of a rainy day, but that didn’t dampen Teresa & David’s spirits or the beauty of their day. Their ceremony took place in the Orangery and the wedding breakfast followed in the Tithe Barn, which had been transformed into a candle lit wonderland of red Chinese lanterns, photos of Teresa & David’s travels together and sparkling Christmas decorations (it was the week before Christmas afterall!). Having a bride who wore two wedding dresses – one for the traditional Chinese ceremony in the morning & toasting of the tables later followed by a beautiful lace Lusan Mandongus dress to walk down the aisle in, was a real treat!

Highlights of the day definitely included the “It’s raining men” video Teresa & friends had filmed and played to the guests after the speeches, as well as Teresa & David’s first dance…it was epic – I’m talking lifts, back-to-back poses, complicated turns – it really was ‘first dance gold’!
