After having an absolutely amazing 2011 wedding season, ended off with a lovely holiday in South Africa and Christmas with my mum visiting us in the UK, I’m ready and pumped for 2012! Having already shot and edited my first wedding for the year (coming soon), I now have some time to blog a few weddings from late 2011, which I didn’t get a chance to post before 2011 was up!
First off is Qianni (Jenny) & Paolo’s intimate wedding celebration in St. Albans. You may remember them from their romantic engagement shoot in London. These two lovebirds were a pleasure to get to know and photograph and their wedding day was a very special and intimate family affair, with Qianni’s family over for the first time from China and Paolo’s family from Italy. The ceremony took place at St. Albans Registry office and their lovely reception lunch was held at Darcys Restaurant afterwards. Darcys is a must when in St. Albans. I sampled the gorgeous food and even met Ruth Hurren, Executive Chef who hails from Australia, hence the Australian touches to the decor of the restaurant! With its red decor, Darcys was also the perfect choice for Qianni and Paolo’s celebration, with the colour red symbolizing good fortune and joy in Chinese culture.
After lunch we drove to the park for a few couple photos and even managed to convince a local dog owner to let Qianni walk his dog while we were there! The day ended on a high note with Qianni & Paolo and their guests hopping on a Red Routemaster bus for a trip to London for some sightseeing, with Qianni wearing a gorgeous….wait for it…RED dress, and she looked beautiful!
A big thank you to Qianni & Paolo for making me feel so welcome & for the little gift (yummy handmade Italian sweets) and well done to Qianni for pulling off the ‘walking the dog in my wedding dress’ with style!
Here are just a few of my favourite photos from Qianni & Paolo’s wedding celebration:
