Before I dive into blogging about the epic-ness that was our USA road-trip last May (Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia in 3 weeks!!), I want to share a few of the interesting letterboxes I (mildly) developed an obsession with, while we explored Florida. From Tampa to St Pete’s Beach, Miami to Key West – these beauties popped up along the way, each unique in their own way and I salute the owners of these letterboxes for going the extra mile in making such an everyday, ordinary object, substantially more interesting than they are in the UK!
So without the further ado, here are some of the letterboxes we stumbled upon (and yes I forced hubby to pull over so I could photograph each one). The rest of my travel photography from this trip will follow soon!
The Manatee letterbox below, (located in a quiet Tampa suburb), was my favourite – seriously cool.
And the penultimate – found on our very last afternoon, whilst leaving St Pete’s Beach in Tampa: bikini model letterbox!
