Back in April, I visited the Amalfi Coast for a destination wedding photography workshop (featured on Belle & Chic here). On my last day, I decided to travel from Ravello to Positano along the Amalfi Coast. When you’re wandering around this gorgeous seaside village overlooking the Mediterranean, it really does feel like time stands still. I only had a few hours before my flight back to London, but I hope I managed to capture a little bit of what has made Positano, become one of my favourite destinations in the world. Cascading, brightly coloured houses overlooking the beach, blue skies and wisterias in bloom. Positano not only makes a wonderful Southern Italian holiday destination, but if you’re planning a destination wedding overlooking the ocean in Italy, this breath-taking setting will definitely give your wedding that Amalfi Coast touch.
As John Steinbeck said when he visited Positano in 1953 for Harper’s Bazaar: “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.”
I couldn’t agree more!
