Summer feels like such a long time ago and now that my season is drawing to a close, I’m really enjoying blogging all my weddings from the last few (busiest) months of the year. I was very fortunate this past Summer to have travelled to France twice to photograph lovely destination weddings (click here for the Provence wedding I shot in June) and I’m looking forward to more destination weddings in 2015.
This sweet and very intimate wedding was a real treat to photograph and I immediately felt at home with J&C and their lovely wedding guests, who had traveled from all over Europe to enjoy their French wedding weekend with them at Chateau du Puits es Pratx.
The outdoor ceremony setting amongst the vineyards behind the chateau was picture perfect and being an editorial wedding photographer myself, who love telling the story of the day by photographing the setting – down to little details like vine leaves basked in golden hour sun and a gorgeous Jenny Packham wedding dress hanging from the balcony doors of the chateau… I am always in my element in the South of France!
We went for a stroll through the little village of Ginestas for the couple portraits and then joined the guests for an al fresco wedding meal in the courtyard. The day itself was very relaxed and I always think this is the most wonderful way of making the most of getting married – stretching out the celebrations over an entire weekend.
Congratulations again Mr & Mrs P! Loved meeting you both and sharing your gorgeous wedding weekend with you. Bonne chance!
Enjoy the post!
