My 2014 photography highlights.

I was in two minds about doing a 2014 photography summary, but when I actually sat down and went through my work, I realised just how EPIC the year was. There’s something very gratifying about sitting down and looking at what you have achieved over the previous year. It helps you to take stock of where you are in your personal & professional journey and it paves the way for 2015 plans & dreams. When January is over, 2014 will well and truly be a distant memory, so before that happens, I’d like to share some of my favourites.

It was really hard to sum the year up in a few words, let alone a small group (I think) of images, when I was incredibly blessed to photograph so many beautiful moments, wonderful couples and exquisite details in some of the most beautiful locations in the UK and the rest of the world.

2014 kicked off with a complete re-brand (with fresh portraits by my talented other half) and new website & blog which I feel represents me and my work perfectly. Throughout the year I had the opportunity to work on various beautifully styled bridal & lifestyle shoots both in the UK and in gorgeous locations such as Barcelona and the Amalfi Coast. I shot wonderful weddings all over the UK and abroad, varying from pretty barns, to French Chateaus to an island wedding in Malta in September. I also really enjoyed working on commercial shoots for fabulous brands like Anges de Sucre, White Prague Wedding Agency, Boutique Blooms, Millbridge Court Hotel and The George in Rye and was honored to be commissioned by You & Your Wedding Magazine to shoot a Receptions Inspiration feature exclusively for the magazine.

The year ended off with a well deserved relaxing month in South Africa, spending the majority of my time with my sister & little nephew in Durban, which was priceless. I’ll be blogging Anakin’s beach portrait shoot soon.

In the coming year, I’m looking forward to more travel and beautiful weddings in Portugal, Barcelona, Lake Como and the UK. I’m also excited to be building my lifestyle & bridal fashion portfolio so keep your eyes peeled for more gorgeous inspiration shoots on the blog.

Thank you for your support throughout 2014 – both on the blog and Facebook. If you’d like to follow my journey on a more personal note, my Instagram account is here. Bring on the rest of 2015!
