This year has been one big adventure. I shot weddings in some of the most beautiful locations in the world and met so many wonderful couples. I was reminded yet again why I love being a wedding & portrait photographer and I’m excited to see what 2016 will hold.
December is the time of year when you start looking back at the past 11 months, and it’s also the time of year when us photographers catch up on blogging! I had a very busy Autumn this year, which meant less time for blogging but it also means that I now have a bunch of gorgeous wedding, lifestyle and portrait shoots I will be sharing on the blog throughout winter.
Today’s elegant post-wedding shoot took place on the Costa Brava in Spain. Monica & Marc, two of the warmest and most easy-going couples I’ve ever worked with, live in Barcelona (check out their El Born engagement shoot here) and tied the knot at Jardins Emporda botanical garden in Girona. The wedding was a feast for the eyes, featuring that 100 seat al fresco dining table (click here if you’d like to see it) and I had a fabulous time capturing the day for them.
The day after the wedding we made our way to the ocean, to do a post-wedding shoot for them. I love the concept of doing a shoot a day or so after the wedding, in a location that’s completely different to the location where you tie the knot. I know a lot of brides who would love to wear their wedding dress again and a post-wedding shoot is the perfect opportunity to do just that!
We chose Camino de Ronda in S’Agaro, Girona – the perfect spot for a stroll along the gorgeous Balearic sea. The setting was completely different to their botanical garden wedding and I loved the simple beauty of it and how quiet it was. A big thank you to my wonderful hubby for once again being my bag carrier and awesome travel buddy.
Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot.
