Kate & Tim tied the knot at The Olde Bell in Hurley last year. It was the most beautiful day in late summer, with the gardens at The Malt House still in full bloom. Hurley is one the most picturesque villages in England and I always love coming back to shoot weddings here.
Kate was one of the most quietly confident and elegant brides I’ve ever photographed and her breath-taking “Grace” wedding gown by Jenny Packham at Miss Bush Bridal was the perfect match for her. An elegant, striking gown with exquisite beading on the top with crystals, sequins, beads and mirrors catching the light every time she moved.
A little bit about their day from Kate: “Our plan for the wedding day was that it would be pretty and relaxed. We knew we wanted a church wedding and chose St Mary’s in Hurley as it is close to where we live and next to the River Thames – we both love being by the water! The Malthouse at the Olde Bell is the perfect setting for a late summer wedding and we incorporated lots of flowers and a colour scheme of pink, white and blue with a touch of silver to add a glam twist! I love hydrangeas and these were chosen as our table centers and for the bouquets, created by Miranda Hackett. Tim proposed at The Kensington Roof Gardens with the resident flamingos for company so we decided to add touches of flamingo in the decoration too.”
What a gorgeous day. Here is a small selection of my favourites, ending with golden sunset portraits along the River Thames in Hurley.
