“Hi Anneli, the USB and prints arrived safely and we absolutely love them!! Thank you so much for taking such beautiful photos of our day at Chiddingstone Castle… we had the best time and they capture it perfectly. Also a massive thank you for being so great and chilled on the day itself, it was so important for us to be able to just have fun and relax and you definitely helped!!”
Liz & David met at a Sandhurst Ball while David was in the army. For the first three years of their relationship, he was based in Germany so it was quite a commute to see Liz in London, but it all paid off in the end – after a romantic engagement in Venice, they celebrated their wedding with close friends & family at Chiddingstone Castle last Summer.
It was my first wedding at Chiddingstone Castle and I really enjoyed shooting here. The castle boasts beautifully landscaped gardens and a Victorian Orangery – perfect for an outdoor civil ceremony.
Liz & David’s ceremony took place at St Mary’s – a quaint, 13th century little church accessible from the castle over a little wooden footbridge. In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere they wanted for their day, they spent most of the reception outdoors in the garden, enjoying canapes and drinks with their guests – my kind of wedding! We were really lucky with the weather and only made our way indoors, once the wedding breakfast was served in the Great Hall. As always, it was a pleasure working with Catriona from Kalm Kitchen and the food was out of this world – make sure you scroll all the way down to see the food images I captured!
Liz looked beautiful in her ‘Saffron’ wedding gown by Alice Temperley and David looked very dapper, wearing tartan trousers by Kinloch Anderson. As always it was a pleasure working with Sylwia Kunysz from the Kristina Gasperas K Team. Distinctly Floral outdid themselves with beautiful cascading floral arrangements at the venue and church – perfect for a summery wedding in the countryside and I loved the personalised biscuit wedding favours by Honeywell Bakes.
This was such a lovely wedding and I hope we have many gorgeous days like this one, during summer 2017.
Liz & David, thanks again for choosing me to share the day with you, it was an absolute pleasure.
