Back in June, I drove up to Worcestershire to spend some time with the gorgeous Lamare family. Liesl is a luxury wedding and event planner based in London. We have worked together a few times over the years and have become good friends. When Liesl & Andrew announced they were expecting a little girl, I couldn’t wait to meet her. Little Aurora arrived earlier this year and she is her mummy’s double! Liesl asked me to do a family portrait session for them shortly before Aurora celebrated her 3 month birthday (yes you should celebrate them all!). We started planning the day, and Liesl suggested a location which ended up being one the prettiest I’ve ever shot in. A field filled with delphiniums, in the heart of the Cotswolds. The perfect location for Real Flower Petal Confetti Field photography.
A field of dreams:
The flower field in Wick are owned by the Real Flower Petal Confetti Co . It is the source of bio-degradable confetti used by wedding couples all over the country. Every year, the field opens for a week in July, when people travel from all over the world to take photos here. You can spend a few hours getting lost in the sea of delphiniums, and we did. The fields are incredibly colourful, ranging from pastel pinks to bold purple, to pure white and we made the most of it. After a while, little Aurora dozed off and we ended the shoot with a few portraits of mum & dad, while she slept.
