New Yorkers Emily & Eddie, tied the knot last August and booked me to be their Millbridge Court wedding photographer in the luscious English countryside. As a recommend supplier at this luxury wedding venue in Frensham, it was lovely being back and to work with Kalm Kitchen again.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and their intimate ceremony took place outdoors in the arbor, decorated beautifully by Designer Chair Covers To Go. Their guests traveled from all over the world to celebrate the day with them and I was so happy that we could make the most of the glorious weather. After the ceremony Kalm Kitchen treated guests to canapes and bubbles in the garden, before their delicious wedding breakfast was served in the dining hall.

The theme for their modern wedding day was an abundance of pink and purple flowers and the dining hall was transformed, complete with a faux floral wall behind the main table. Emily & Eddie opted for scrumptious sharing platters as a starter and then a guest from each table was chosen at random to carve the beef main course for their table mates. I loved the presentation and it photographed so well!

After the speeches and cutting of the cake, it was time for Emily & Eddie’s choreographed first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking out loud”. Emily changed into a beautiful Oscar de la Renta evening gown and Eddie donned a suave velvet dinner jacket. They absolutely stole the show with their performance – complete with lifts and dips most couples would shy away from for the first dance. Very impressive and so romantic!

I left the happy couple to party the night away to the tunes of Simon from Matt Maurice Event Music, after Eddie serenaded his new wife. A very talented couple!

Lyssa & Joe’s elegant wedding incorporated not one, but three beautiful London venues: Mayfair Library for the ceremony, The Ivy West Street for their intimate lunch and Ice Tank in Covent Garden for the evening party. A real treat for any Mayfair wedding photographer!

It was the first weekend in May and Spring was in full bloom with the Union Jack adding a festive feel to the streets of London. Their wedding day showcased the city where they met and fell in love in and I had a lovely time capturing it for them. Lyssa is originally from North Carolina, USA and Joe is Irish, so the wedding had a real international flavour to it.

The entire day was very relaxed. Lyssa and Joe greeted their guests in Mount Street Gardens before the ceremony and afterwards spent time soaking up the sunshine, before they hopped on a Routemaster Bus to The Ivy.

The Ivy Private Dining Room is a beautiful space and it was Lyssa’s late mother’s favourite restaurant in London. Delicious canapes and a gorgeous meal awaited the guests and after some very emotional speeches and a lovely long lunch, everyone had some time to freshen up and enjoy the fabulous weather before the evening festivities kicked off.

Ice Tank in Covent Garden was the location for the evening party. It’s a great venue and one I have shot at before. A short walk from The Ivy, this was the perfect location for the more modern evening party and the newlyweds enjoyed walking through Covent Garden to the Icetank, with taxi drivers winding down their windows to congratulate them – “a great London moment” as Lyssa said.

The lovely Anna from Bride & Glory coordinated the wedding and she did a wonderful job, making sure everything ran smoothly. Kasia and Kristina from the K Team were on hand for hair & make up – a dream to work with as always and it was fun working with Liz from Blue Sky Flowers again, who made sure that Lyssa’s bouquet looked as gorgeous as she did!

Here are a few of my favourites from the day (click here and here to view other luxurious London weddings).

Loved these little maps from Cute Maps – a nice touch as Lyssa & Joe had so many guests from out of town.
