A fabulous lifestyle shoot: Anna MacDougall from bride&glory Wedding Planning & Coordination.

I’ve been looking forward to sharing the photos from the Lifestyle shoot I did a few weeks ago with Anna MacDougall from bride&glory. So much colour, personality, love and fun – and that’s just Anna!

Based in Ravenstone, Bucks, Anna is the mastermind behind bride&glory – Wedding Planning and Coordination. With a background in Event Management and many years of experience in planning & coordinating corporate events, I would say Anna definitely falls within the event planning & coordinating “guru” category! Over the past twelve years she has planned and coordinated events in the UK and overseas, with some of them taking place in Italy, China, the Middle East and the Caribbean and ranging from 10 to 10,000 guests!

So how did the switch to Wedding Planning & Coordination happen? Well, after a few years of living & working overseas, Anna and her (by now) husband returned to the UK. She had grown a little weary of both their work schedules involving travelling and living a post-it note relationship (she literally still has a post-it that says: “baked beans in cupboard – dog walked – see you next week – love you”). So she hung up her corporate heels and started up bride&glory, which she now runs full-time from a small yet perfectly formed Chapel in Bucks.

So on a sunny afternoon earlier this month, I drove out to Bucks to meet Anna and get to know her a little bit, before taking some photos for her website. Two seconds after walking into the Old Chapel, I was enthusiastically greeted by “blonde beast” Barley! What a character and personality – I instantly fell in love (yes I’m a dog person)! The Old Chapel where the “bride&glory headquarters” are based, is the perfect space for cozy client meetings in front of the log fire and reflects Anna’s personality and keen eye for detail & colourful design perfectly. After a delicious latte, we took Barley for a walk and spent the afternoon chatting about life, love, the wedding industry and everything else.

I really enjoyed my afternoon with Anna & Barley and I would recommend Anna to any and all brides looking for someone to help them plan & execute the perfect wedding day! This shoot made me realise again how much I love meeting other people in the wedding industry who are as passionate about what they do as I am and I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a supportive, creative and fun industry!

That's Penelope Pig on the right - the village mascot which Anna decorates each week!

The Old Chapel - definitely worth a visit!

Anna is a major Martha Stewart fan! Love the matchboxes on the left from Cox & Cox - perfect for adding a little something to wedding table decorations.

Anna is a major fan of the colour orange in case you were wondering!

Loving the different shades of purple on Anna's toe nails.

Barley dozing off next to the log fire and my yummy latte!
