An intimate, country chic wedding at Blake Hall: Louise & Alan.

Louise & Alan’s elegant country wedding took place in March at Blake Hall in Ongar. Their day was an intimate celebration of their love for each other and I loved how relaxed it was! I joined Louise and her mum, along with Alan’s lovely daughter Ellie at the Old Coach House on the morning of the wedding where they were getting ready. The theme for their wedding daywas very much country chic and every little detail conveyed this – from Louise’s gorgeous bouquet by Karen from The Flower Mill, to her beautiful romantic half up hairdo by Lisa Alger, complemented perfectly with the fresh roses in her hair, to her elegant fishtail wedding gown – chic, slightly rustic, very understated and perfect for a beautiful country wedding.

Louise & her mum did the flower centerpieces for the tables themselves and along with a fairy light backdrop in the barn and a sweet candy station, everything came together beautifully. Blake Hall was the perfect setting for their relaxed wedding day and we made the most of the beautiful grounds & blossom trees for their couple portraits. What I love most about Louise & Alan is that they don’t take themselves too seriously and that they are a genuinely lovely couple, who care so much about their family & friends. I loved photographing their forest engagement shoot and wedding day and it reminded why I love intimate weddings so much!
