Hayley & John’s ‘glamfest’ tipi wedding took place in a field in the Suffolk countryside. This was my first tipi wedding in a long time (click here to see other tipi weddings) and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the day, where every detail lovingly put together by Hayley & John and their families, made it as fun & relaxed as possible for their guests.
When I arrived at the tipi in the morning, the guys were hard at work, watering flowers in mismatched pretty vases on the tables, filling up confetti bags and tying fresh lavender to the place name cards. Very impressive I have to say! Square hay bales had been arranged in front of the tipi overlooking the pond with trees creating a lovely backdrop. This was the setting for Hayley & John’s outdoor blessing, led by his little brother and best man, Mikey. Reindeer skin throws, added a touch of “luxe” to the hay bales & wooden benches and a lovely wooden trunk held the wedding programs, which were beautiful little paper fortune tellers. I loved all the other thoughtful touches such as the “help yourself” flip flop & Pashmina baskets – a must have for any festival wedding!
Hayley rocked her summery Alice Temperley wedding dress and injected some glamour into her wedding look with a pair of gorgeous Valentino heels and a chic up-do. John looked every bit the dashing festival groom in his brown leather brogues and Jaeger jacket. Hayley created her hand-tied wild flower bouquet herself, and it looked stunning. The rest of the flowers for the day, had been arranged by her lovely mum. Guests were treated to a mouth-watering hog roast & freshly made pizzas from the Proper Pizza Company followed by a selection of cheeses & some port!
Even though we didn’t have the best weather during the day, once the rain cleared, the rest of the afternoon faded into a gorgeous sunset and the guests chilled out in The Garden Lounge, complete with comfy sofas and a drinks trolley. A great way to make the most of the setting without compromising on comfort!
Hayley & John, thank you for having me along to share in & capture the day for you. I heard so many guests commenting on how amazing everthing looked and how hard you must have worked to create an uber amazing festival wedding. Congratulations, you really outdid yourselves and it was an absolute pleasure meeting you both.
