Hayley & Paul tied the knot in the heart of the Cotswolds this past weekend. I was delighted when they asked me to be their Slaughters Manor House wedding photographer. This beautiful 17th century manor house was the perfect setting for their intimate wedding. This was my first time photographing a wedding at The Slaughters Manor House and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop for sunset portraits and the staircase leading into the house, was just the spot to get ‘that photo’ of Hayley’s trailing Enzoani veil.

I arrived in the morning to find Hayley and the girls relaxing with fizz in her beautiful room in the courtyard. With hairstyling by Michael Gray and make up by Harriet Cook, the girls were in good hands. Paul and the guys, with Hayley’s son George, arrived shortly thereafter. I helped them with their buttonholes while they sampled some of the local Cotswolds Gin in the hotel bar, before we took a few relaxed pre-ceremony photos in the garden.

Hayley made the short trip from the courtyard to the main house in her brand new Jimmy Choos, with her step father shielding her from the rain. Their ceremony took place downstairs in the restaurant, after which we set up an epic confetti tunnel for them, leading down the steps at the front of The Slaughter Manor House. I love a good confetti photo and Hayley & Paul’s faces in these photos, say it all! Despite a little bit of rain earlier on, we were treated to a gorgeous golden hour for their couple portraits. Hayley looked stunning in her wedding gown from St Patrick Barcelona and veil by Enzoani at Ann Louise Bridal and Paul looked very dapper in his suit from Duncan James Menswear Walsall. I loved Hayley’s choice of silver sage for her bridesmaids’ dresses too – a very elegant colour scheme.
